Multiple OS
Learn how you can transform your server from the beginning with a selection of Multiple Operating Systems.
Each personal computer or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level program which communicates with the hardware equipment, including peripheral devices such as a mouse or a printer, as well as any apps that are installed on the system. Any program input through a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the OS. On a server, every single app runs within the parameters set by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, etcetera. This goes for both standard site scripts and server-side software like a media server. When a virtual server is generated on a physical one, there can be two different Operating Systems, called guest OS and host OS, which means that you'll be able to set up a different software environment on the same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
If you decide to go for one of our
VPS server plans, you'll be able to select one of the three Linux distributions which we supply for the OS of the servers - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are among the most widely used and most dependable server OSs available on the market and we offer them so that you have a choice for the software environment of your machine if you need to install some application with particular requirements regarding the packages that should be present on the hosting server. We also offer three internet hosting Control Panels and which one of them you'll be able to use depends on the OS that you've selected. We leave the chance to change the server Operating System open, so when you want to use software that requires an OS different from the one you already have, we can always re-install the VPS. In addition, we can keep the OS up-to-date weekly by installing all the security updates which may be available.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
In case you decide to obtain one of our
dedicated servers, you will find three Operating Systems on the registration page since we want to give you a broader choice for the system environment on the server as different apps could have specific requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian include different modules developed by their huge support communities, so you can select any of these OSs and enjoy a reliable and secure Internet hosting service. Based on your choice, you'll also have different Control Panels to choose from. Needless to say, we can always change the Operating System if the one you have selected in the beginning does not meet the requirements of the software that you want to run. We can also upgrade the OS regularly in order to keep it as risk-free as possible through our Managed Services upgrade package.
